ANFIN Online Terms of Use
1. About ANFIN Online
ANFIN Online is the online banking and financial services platform provided by Anglican Financial Services (ANFIN), a ministry of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ).
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ANFIN Online.
By accessing or using ANFIN Online, you agree to comply with these Terms, applicable ANFIN and ACSQ policies, and any requirements that apply to the accounts, services and functions available through ANFIN Online.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use ANFIN Online.
2. Authorised Use
ANFIN Online is provided for authorised banking, payment, reporting and financial management activities.
Access is restricted to users approved by ANFIN, ACSQ, or an authorised parish, school, ministry, commission or other approved entity.
You must:
only access accounts and information you are authorised to access;
only perform functions you are authorised to perform;
comply with applicable ANFIN and ACSQ policies;
act within your approved authority and responsibility; and
use ANFIN Online only for legitimate organisational purposes.
ANFIN may grant, change, suspend, restrict or remove access at any time where necessary for operational, governance, compliance, security or risk management purposes.
3. Authorised Users and Delegated Access
ANFIN Online may provide different levels of access, including:
enquiry-only access;
transaction initiation access;
approval access;
administrator access; and
other access levels determined by ANFIN.
Users with enquiry-only access may view information but cannot initiate or approve transactions.
Where access is granted to multiple users, the relevant account holder or authorised entity remains responsible for ensuring those users act within their authority and comply with these Terms.
4. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for protecting your access to ANFIN Online.
You must:
keep your username, password and authentication credentials secure;
maintain control of devices used to access ANFIN Online;
use strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where required;
log out when you have finished using ANFIN Online; and
immediately report any suspected security issue.
You must not:
share passwords or authentication credentials;
allow another person to use your account;
use another person's account;
attempt to bypass security controls; or
store credentials in an insecure manner.
5. Protecting Yourself from Fraud and Scams
You must take reasonable steps to protect your accounts, devices and credentials from fraud, cybercrime, phishing attacks and scams.
You should exercise caution when responding to emails, text messages, phone calls, social media messages or websites requesting account details, passwords or authentication codes.
ANFIN and ACSQ will never ask you to disclose your password or authentication codes.
You must promptly notify ANFIN if:
you suspect your credentials have been compromised;
you become aware of suspicious account activity;
you believe you have been targeted by a scam or phishing attempt;
a device used to access ANFIN Online is lost or stolen; or
you become aware of a security incident.
ANFIN may issue security alerts or instructions relating to fraud or cyber threats. Users are expected to comply with reasonable security instructions.
6. Authority to Act
By using ANFIN Online, you confirm that you have the authority required to perform actions undertaken through the platform.
This includes authority to:
view account information;
create, submit or approve payments;
manage payees and recipients;
create or amend scheduled payments;
access financial reports; and
perform any other function available to you.
You must not submit or approve a transaction unless you have the necessary authority to do so.
7. Payments and Transactions
You are responsible for verifying that all transaction details are accurate before submitting or approving a transaction.
This includes checking:
account numbers and BSBs;
recipient details;
payment amounts;
payment dates;
payment frequencies; and
payment references.
Not all financial institutions verify account names when processing payments. You are responsible for ensuring recipient account details are correct.
ANFIN is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect, incomplete or unauthorised information entered by users, except to the extent required by law.
8. Scheduled and Recurring Payments
ANFIN Online may allow scheduled, future-dated or recurring payments.
You are responsible for ensuring these payments remain correct and appropriate.
Scheduled and recurring payments should be reviewed when:
banking details change;
a payment is no longer required;
personnel or approval arrangements change; or
ANFIN requests a review.
Once submitted or approved, a payment may not be able to be stopped, amended or reversed.
9. Payment Errors and Recovery
If you believe a payment has been made in error, you must notify ANFIN as soon as possible.
ANFIN will make reasonable efforts to assist with stopping, amending, tracing or recovering a payment where circumstances allow.
However, ANFIN cannot guarantee that a payment can be stopped, reversed or recovered after processing has commenced.
10. Monitoring and Audit
ANFIN and ACSQ may monitor, record, review and retain information relating to the use of ANFIN Online.
This may include:
login activity;
authentication events;
account access;
payment creation and approval;
changes to users and permissions;
payee maintenance;
transaction activity; and
system events.
This information may be used for security, fraud prevention, compliance, audit, governance, operational and investigative purposes.
ANFIN may restrict, delay, suspend or investigate activity that appears suspicious, fraudulent, unauthorised or inconsistent with normal account behaviour.
11. Privacy and Confidentiality
Personal information collected or accessed through ANFIN Online will be handled in accordance with the ACSQ Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. Your existing ACSQ privacy framework also states that banking data within the ANFIN platform is stored within Australia.
Information accessed through ANFIN Online may include confidential, financial, personal or sensitive information.
You must:
keep information confidential;
only access information required for authorised purposes;
protect information from unauthorised disclosure; and
comply with applicable privacy, confidentiality and information security requirements.
12. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
ANFIN may delay, decline, restrict or refuse transactions where required to comply with:
applicable laws;
regulatory requirements;
sanctions obligations;
anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations;
fraud prevention controls; or
security requirements.
ANFIN may request additional information to verify your identity, authority, transaction details or source of funds to meet legal, compliance or security obligations.
13. Availability of ANFIN Online
ANFIN will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of ANFIN Online. However, ANFIN does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
ANFIN may suspend, restrict, modify or withdraw access to ANFIN Online, or any part of it, where necessary for:
maintenance;
upgrades;
security protection;
investigation of suspicious activity;
legal or regulatory compliance;
business continuity; or
risk management purposes.
14. Third-Party Services
ANFIN Online may rely on services provided by banks, payment systems, software providers, infrastructure providers and other third parties.
ANFIN is not responsible for delays, outages, interruptions or failures caused by third-party providers beyond ANFIN's reasonable control.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ANFIN and ACSQ are not liable for loss, damage, cost or expense arising from:
user error;
incorrect payment information;
unauthorised use resulting from compromised credentials;
delays or failures caused by third-party providers;
platform outages or maintenance;
payments that cannot be reversed or recovered; or
events outside ANFIN's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Changes to these Terms
ANFIN may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms may be published within ANFIN Online or otherwise made available to users.
Continued use of ANFIN Online after revised Terms are published constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms.
17. Reporting Issues
You must promptly report:
suspected unauthorised access;
compromised credentials;
suspicious emails or scam activity;
incorrect or unauthorised transactions;
duplicate payments;
privacy incidents;
lost or stolen devices used for ANFIN Online access; and
any other issue affecting the security or integrity of ANFIN Online.
18. Acceptance
By selecting "I Agree" or continuing to use ANFIN Online, you acknowledge that:
you have read and understood these Terms of Use;
you agree to comply with them;
you will only use ANFIN Online for authorised purposes;
you will act within your approved authority;
you will protect your credentials and information;
you are responsible for checking transaction details before approval or submission; and you will promptly report security concerns, errors or suspected fraud.
