The work of Ministry Education encompasses a number of ministries vital to the effective functioning and mission of the Anglican Church.
Through theological study, spiritual formation, and practical learning, St Francis Theological College supports individuals, parishes, schools, and agencies of the Church across the diocese. The College equips people to discern vocation, grow in faith, and serve the mission of the Church, in reliance on the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

Are you seeking a richer understanding of Christianity, worship, and ministry in the Anglican tradition?
Located in Milton, Brisbane, is the theological and formation college of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland. The College supports ordained and lay ministry through theological education, spiritual formation, and practical training for service in parishes, schools, and church agencies.
With a commitment to thoughtful scholarship, prayerful formation, and contemporary mission, St Francis offers pathways for those discerning vocation as well as those seeking deeper theological engagement.
Venue Hire
Lecture Rooms: Equipped with a purpose-built podium, modern tables and chairs and state of the art wi-fi and audio-visual equipment is designed for in-person and online lectures and conferencing. Rooms are available for 4 -70 people.
The Chapel of the Holy Spirit: This beautiful chapel is available for weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
Function/Conference Rooms: The majestic heritage-listed building Old Bishopsbourne is used as a function centre for both community and private functions such as seminars, art shows, workshops, and conferences. Its large kitchen, stunning grounds, and the adjacent chapel, make it the perfect venue for weddings.
Rental Accommodation
Long Term Accommodation: Two and three bedroom units are available as well as single rooms with shared facilities are available for rent to a variety of staff, Formation students, Community of the Way residents, refugee families and other church and community members on a long-term basis.
Short Term Accommodation: Rooms are also available for short term hire when you are attending lectures, workshops, or conferences. These basic rooms are equipped with bed, desk, fan, and TV. Kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities are shared. Free wi-fi is available. Linen and towels are available on request for an extra fee.
Pointro Campsite and Bunkhouse
Pointro is the perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway with family or friends in affordable accommodation. Run a retreat for young adults or a youth group camp. Enjoy safe places to fish and catch red claw, and lots of water activity options.
Camping: Eight large campsites offer spectacular views, firepits and a large toilet and shower facility block.
Pointro campsite is now bookable on Hipcamp.
Bunkhouse: The roomy bunkhouse, which sleeps 36 people, has been fitted with a new gas stove and has free satellite TV, a huge kitchen, plenty of hot water, and a games room.
