Nominations for Books, Movies, Songs and More

Click NOMINATE NOW.

NOMINATIONS CLOSE 22 NOVEMBER 2023. To submit more than one nomination, complete the form again.

What will happen to these nominations?

One recommended book or other item will be displayed on the Cathedral Facebook site and the screen in the Cathedral each day during the 16 Days of Activism and a list will be printed for use in the Cathedral, in the notices AND OTHER Church newsletters and websites.

Your name will not be included in the recommendation unless you would like to be recognized.

If we get a lot of great recommendations for items not readily available either through libraries or at low cost, then fundraising will be developed for copies to be purchased for the Cathedral Library.

What are the 16 Days of activism?

The United Nations 16 Days of Activism commences on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and runs through till 10 December, Human Rights Day.

This period will see events and activities from a wide range of organisations and Church communities aimed at raising awareness of gender-based violence as one of the most widespread violations of human rights throughout the world.  The colour orange is used extensively throughout this period.

Many Parishes are already active in running their own events or participating in local activities during this time.
