Our work takes many forms.
With the aim of the whole Church engaged in Mission, the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ) serves the community through its five commissions: the Anglican Schools Commission, Community Services Commission, Finance and Diocesan Services Commission, Ministry Education Commission and the Parish and Other Mission Agencies Commission.
The purpose of the Parishes and Other Mission Agencies Commission is to facilitate strategic planning and policy development in parishes and other mission agencies, including ministry in hospitals, prisons, police services and tertiary institutions. Read more…
The Ministry Education Commission consists of a suite of services including theological education; ordination; formation; a spiritual directors’ formation program; lay education; children’s, youth and families ministry; library services; and the ministry of the Household of Deacons. The Finance and Diocesan Services Commission works with the General Managers Office with a focus on the governance requirements for the Diocese as a whole and the operational support of individual commissions other than the Community Services Commission.
