Your generosity will bring relief to those that need it.
Our farmers and their families are doing it tough, and need your help.
With 80% of Queensland drought declared our fellow Queenslanders are experiencing the devastation of a severe and prolonged drought, reported by media as the worst and widest on record. People are wondering when it is going to rain and where the money is going to come from to pay the bills for food and everyday items to survive.
Your help now will give those affected by the drought the relief they need to cope during this tough time.
You can make a difference by providing a gift to the Archbishop’s Drought Appeal. Your gift will allow us to respond quickly to drought affected farmers and to provide practical assistance and pastoral care to those who are struggling at this time. Your gift will also show these poor farmers and their families they are not alone.
Archbishop of Brisbane, Dr Phillip Aspinall said, “These funds will be made available to local parishes in drought affected areas to assist families in need with the purchase of groceries and other basic necessities from shops in their local communities. Every cent raised will be spent on helping these families in need.”
